Lore
A handful of tracks on the album loosely connect to the lore of Where There's Smoke.
"Ode to Joe" is a second-person story in which Joe Papermaker, the king of Etowana, fills the listener's anus with peppermint Joe-Yo on Christmas Eve. The song then transitions into a distorted rap about the singer's sexual attraction toward Joe Papermaker and his ubiquity.
"The Perfect Nut", the title track, devolves into a ballad in which Jesse Papermaker sings about his desire to acquire a perfect orgasm.
